WELCOME TO THE HENRY VI
The Henry VI is located in the heart of Eton High
Street and is just a short stroll across the river Thames from Windsor
Castle.
The pub has been tastefully restored and Richard Brass of ‘The
Times Magazine’ describes us as a nice surprise in the way
that we avoid both elitism and menace.
"A long, dim, low-ceilinged place, it combines the essence
of pub with the odd classier touch, like leather chairs, dark oak
tables together with modern aspects featuring a log burning fire,
deep leather sofas, paneling painted in a muted, modish brown, and
candles in wine bottles, an internationally recognized mark of good
taste. And all around the walls are framed black-and-white photos
of Eton in the yesteryear and of the boys attending the college
that Henry VI founded in 1442.
The garden is the perfect place to relax and unwind with an
outdoor bar, wonderful decking area seating 68 people under the
palms and jazz being played out through the speakers making it the
perfect alfresco drinking and dining experience."
Weekends we are recognized for being the best live music venue in
Berkshire with great acts each week creating a wonderful traditional
atmosphere.
The overall impression is of a pub with a touch of the gastro's
and is one of those places you wish to find but never seem to. It
is our attention to detail and warm and friendly service that will
make your visit truly memorable.
